    Hi Saumit,
You are doing a good job.
This is the first time I logged into thos site. Looks like a very good site with interesting stuff.
But I am a new bee and interested to enter into Oracle Apps. Can I have any basic materials/videos for Oracle Apps technical and SCM, Finance modules?
    Thanks for your time
    Kind regards,
    Venkat

    • saumitmandal says:

      Dear Venkat,

      Thank you for your feedback!
I am glad you have taken the decision to focus your career in the direction of Oracle Apps.

Oracle Apps is a vast body of knowledge.
There are multiple modules in Finance.
Similarly, there are multiple modules in SCM.
Technical knowhow in Oracle Apps again, is an entirely separate field.

In your position, I would first decide, which area of Oracle Apps, I would like to specialize in – Oracle Manufacturing? or Distribution? or SCM? or Finance? or HRMS? Each of these areas has multiple products under it. Your education, and your prior experience (if any) would guide your judgement. Mostly individuals from an engineering background tend to gravitate towards manufacturing and SCM streams, while folks with Finance and Accounting backgrounds tend to take up Oracle Financials. If you love coding, then technical consulting in Oracle Apps would satisfy you.

Also, and unfortunately, in Oracle Apps, there is a genuine scarcity of good training material, that is affordable. Oracle Education andc Oracle University do conduct courses, but they are fairly expensive, and beyond the reach of most individuals.

Which is why, my efforts to build affordable training content at
      http://www.oracle-apps-training-online.com.

You may however, download FREE Oracle Apps User Guides on all Oracle Apps products, from:
      http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B40089_10/current/html/docset.html

Let me know, if there is anything specific, you were looking for.

      Regards,
      Saumit

Hi. When can we have the tutorials on Order Management ?

    • saumitmandal says:

      Dear Manik,

It’s great to hear from you!
We are unable to commit to a timeline for Order Management, as currently we are a little short of time and manpower.

But we promise to keep you posted.

      Cheers!
      Saumit
